On Friday night, members of the Texas and Oklahoma District joined after an opening session under District Governor Bobby Serda, for the new district board debates and divisional caucus.

After a restful Friday evening, the Texas-Oklahoma District joined together for House of Delegates in which our District Governor, Secretary, and Editor were elected.

Following House of Delegates, CKI members had a chance to attend four workshops including one on communication, one on creating impactful service events, strengthening Kiwanis family relations, and planning over the summer.

Then, during lunch, members of CKI were able to connect with Kiwanis members around their respective areas locally while listening to a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion panel

Thereafter, members of Kiwanis and CKI worked together to make birthday cake kits in which Kiwanis donated to local food pantries. Together, CKI and Kiwanis made 150 bags to be distributed to cities such as Pleasant Grove, Allen, and more.

Later that Saturday evening, CKI held its award ceremony in which UTD received the Outstanding Public Relations and Outreach Award, TEQUILA Meme of the Year, T-O Hall of Fame (awarded to Lizzie Schmitz), and Outstanding Secretary Award (awarded to Kaavya Maddipudi).

After an eventful weekend, all the members of TX-OK CKI returned home with new hopes and determination for next year!
